Betsy DeVos is a well-known leader in the business, education, and political industry. Betsy is married to philanthropist, entrepreneur, and community activist Dick DeVos. The DeVoses focus their primary political efforts on looking for innovative solutions to advance educational choices and solve social problems. Betsy and Dick founded Windquest Group, a privately held management firm operating in Michigan in 1989. The company had a diversified consumer service and product portfolio in technology, clean energy, and manufacturing.Betsy is an active philanthropist in her community. She is the former chair of the Philanthropy Roundtable and the American Federation for Children board of directors. Also, she has served on several local and national boards including American Enterprise Institute, ArtPrize, Foundation for Excellence in Education, Kids Hope USA, Mars Hill Bible Church, and the DeVos Institute of Arts Management at the University of Maryland. Betsy and Dick offer their support to the Potter’s House Christian School that caters for a huge number of low-income families.
During the visits to the school, the couple was able to realise that a lot of parents were struggling and making sacrifices to ensure that their kids attend school daily.Furthermore, The DeVoses have donated millions of dollars to Christian and arts organisations. In Louisiana and Indiana, for example, there have been programs passed to serve almost one million students on an annual basis. Dick DeVos started a Charter high school situated in the Grand Rapids. The West Michigan Aviation Academy has been operating for three years with three grades.

Betsy DeVos also undertook her vocation at Calvin College, and since then she has been actively involved in politics and ensuring that children get access to quality education.
