Many of us would like to support the cause and wear our strong beliefs emblazoned across our bosoms, but having to plunk down $710, well, it isn’t easy.
Come on now, Dior. Are you for real?
The iconic fashion house is making headlines selling the white tee shirt that says:
“We Should All Be Feminists.”
Actress Jennifer Lawrence has been photographed modeling the simple, crew-neck tee that costs tons of money, but the campaign is for a good cause. Jennifer has been the face of Dior since 2012. In 2014, the blonde beauty signed a three-year contract with Dior for a whopping $15 million. She poses wearing the tee shirt with loose-fitting jeans, her flaxen hair in a casual bun, black choker with gold necklaces and a J’ADIOR cross-body bag and black cropped blazer with kitten-heel pumps
Interestingly, Rihanna is connected to the Dior project because it was she who established The Clara Lionel Foundation. Dior will donate a percentage of proceeds from each sale of the “We Should All Be Feminists” T-shirts to the non-profit organization that funds major education and health programs globally for the poor.
You would think that not too many women could afford to buy a $710 tee shirt, no matter how noble the cause. Dior’s fancy top, however, is already sold out at the high-end Saks Fifth Avenue shopping site online.
You can check out the feminism cotton/linen tee-shirt here at Saks. It is also sold out in the color Black.
By the way, graphic tee shirts are all the rage, especially those with messages of feminism, and they sell for a heck of a lot cheaper than the special Dior tee. For example, the popular Etsy store is selling a funny tee shirt that says:
It costs only $21 at the TheDancingDonut (Etsy).
