Sahm Adrangi serves as the Chief Investment Officer of Kerrisdale Capital Management LLC. Mr. Sahm Adrangi Founded Kerrisdale Capital Management in 2009, and he remains involved in every aspect of the firm’s development. Adrangi opened the firm with less than $ 1 million, and as of July 2017, the business had grown to manage $150 million. Kerrisdale Capital is based in New York that mainly focuses on long-term investments and special situations driven by events. Mr. Sahm Adrangi attended Yale University where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics.

Prior to founding the firm worked at Longacre Fund Management, LLC where he served as an Investment Analyst. He served this post for the period between April 2007 and February 2009. During his tenure, he conducted investment research and analysis for the credit fund as well as equity fund. Before joining Longacre, Mr. Sahm Adrangi worked for bankruptcy restructuring group – Chanin Capital Partners from 2005 to 2007. His task included representing those with bank debts, bondholders committees, and various creditors of distressed as well as bankrupt companies. Before working with Longacre, Mr. Sahm Adrangi served as an analyst in leverage finance group at Deutsche Bank.

Adrangi came into the limelight for shorting and exposing fraudulent Chinese companies. Some of the enterprises exposed faced legal action imposed by the Securities and Exchange Commission. Mr. Adrangi does not limit his research on Chinese companies only. In recent times, he has focused on other sectors where his firm Kerrisdale has grown expertise. Some of the industries he touched on his publications include the biotechnology and the mining sectors. Mr. Adrangi has also published reports on the communication field where he shares his skeptical views on Dish Network, Globalstar, Viasat Inc. and Straight Path Communication.

Mr. Sahm Adrangi is also a speaker. He has spoken at many conferences such as the Value Investing Conference, Sohn Conference, Traders 4 a Cause, the Activist Investor conference, and Distressed Debt Investing Conference. Mr. Sahm has also appeared in a number of interviews including CNBC and Bloomberg. He is also featured in major publications like the New York Times, Business Week, the Wall Street Journal, and numerous other publications.
