Sudhir Choudhrie is an entrepreneur and philanthropist based in London, UK. Originally from New Delhi, India, Sudhir grew up in an entrepreneurial household. Starting right from his grandfather’s real estate business, he launched his own franchise reselling UK television in India. His background in economics complemented his entrepreneurial journey as he found Magnum International Trading Company Limited.
Sudhir soon moved on to parallel work with Taj Hotels and Resorts and Adidas AG as he sought to expand India’s export market. In 1995, this moves bore fruit when he joined other partners in establishing the Adidas Indian Training branch, which grew to 180 sister stores a few years later. His heart started failing around this time, given his leaking heart-valve diagnosis when he was eight. After suffering two heart attacks, he finally found a compatible heart donor in 1999, a surgery that would change his life entirely. Moving on with this newfound life, Sudhir Choudhrie proceeded to the Ebookers PLC as a Non-Executive Director and bagged an investment at Air Deccan four years later. The airline provided budget flights that saw exponential growth to provide up to 200 flights a day.
Sudhir’s hard work has seen him build a net worth of over $2 billion. He has created and saved many people’s jobs by supporting many startups and contributing to his native country’s economy. Thanks to his expertise and business acumen, he is currently a consultant to many companies and individuals.
